Communications Coordinator
We are seeking a part-time Communications Coordinator (14 hours per week) to join our small, happy team and assist our Communications Manager with a range of activities to promote awareness and understanding of The Ian Potter Foundation’s work within the not-for-profit sector, and the broader community.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Communications Manager to ensure the effective delivery of the Foundation’s communications plans
- Assistance with the development of communications material including annual reports, websites, newsletters and other collateral including research, liaison with designers and contributors, collation of material and some writing, editing and proof reading
- Coordination of events including venue liaison and list management
- Management of systems for communications record keeping and archives
- Assisting with development and maintenance of social media activities
- Assisting with publicity activities and dissemination of news and information to media and other audiences as required

To be considered for an interview it is essential that you address the selection criteria below:
- Highly developed written communication skills, including editing and proofreading
- Excellent oral communication skills, including presentation skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of audiences
- Outstanding organisational ability
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
- Experience with development of web content and online communication
- Project management skills, including the ability to work independently, monitor projects and produce high quality work and outcomes within agreed timelines.
- Understanding of media and publicity processes
- Capacity to attend to fine detail
- Demonstrated commitment to team work and the development of strong relationships with colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and good problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of video production or photo editing would be well regarded, as would experience with social media in a business context
